Rainer J Navarro

Rainer (Ray) Navarro is a Captain with the Satna Rosa Police Department. He has been a peace officer with the City of Santa Rosa since 1992. He served in the United States Navy and is very active in the community.
Throughout his career, Ray has worked extensively on gang and homeless issues. He is currently a member of the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council, and recently joined the Board of Directors for CHOPs Teen Club. He has previous board experience on the Sonoma County Continuum of Care, the Homeless Collective, Deacon and board member for his church, and Social Advocates for Youth. He has mentored men at the Redwood Gospel Mission New Life Program and works with young adults interested in public safety.
Ray attended the Santa Rosa Junior College and Sonoma State University and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice Administration. He is currently enrolled in the Law Enforcement Public & Safety Leadership Program at the University of San Diego and plans to complete a Master’s Degree in May 2019. Ray has been married to his wife Diedre for 29 years. They have two adult children and a son in law.
