Marcus Sprague
Marcus Sprague is a Lieutenant at the Santa Rosa Police Department with over 22 years of experience in a wide variety of assignments including 12 years on the SWAT team where he served as an operator, sniper and team leader. Marcus is the current Tactical Commander for Santa Rosa Police Department and has previously worked in a variety of assignments including crimes suppression, homicide, property crimes, narcotics and the auto theft task force. He was a graduating member of the California Association of Tactical Officers (CATO) Strategic Leadership Program class #1 and teaches tactical science for Field Command and other SWAT and tactical subjects for CATO. He currently serves as the Vice President of CATO and can be heard as the host of the CATO podcast. He is an adjunct faculty member at Santa Rosa Junior College where he teaches critical incident management for supervisors, and the South Bay Regional Public Safety Training Consortium where he teaches Tactical Strategies for managers. Marcus has a BS in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Law Enforcement Public Safety Leadership from the University of San Diego.
